Serves 6 | Prep Time 10 mins | Cooling Time 45 mins
INGREDIENTS
1 x OrchardWorld Orange - half zest and juice and other half cut into rounds.
4 x OrchardWorld Apples - blended to a pulp.
1/4 cup Port (or Brandy)
1 Bottle Red Wine (750ml)
4 tbsp Caramel Sauce
6 Whole Cloves
2 Cinnamon Sticks
2 Star Anise
3 Whole Cardamom Pods
METHOD
This really is a winter warming treat.
In a slow cooker (or a large saucepan) add the red wine, apple pulp, port, caramel sauce, orange slices, whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and whole cardamom pods. Stir, cover, and let sit on low heat for 45 - 60 minutes. Switch to a warmer setting or slightly increase saucepan heat.
Trace the lip of a heatproof glass with extra Caramel Sauce with the pouring spout of the sauce. Ladle mulled
