ORCHARDWORLD ‘Cherry Picking Day, gives you the rare opportunity to pick your very own delicious cherries, and also the option to purchase some of our Stone, Citrus and Top Fruit within the range.
 
THE PROMOTER
The Promoter of the Cherry Picking day is OrchardWorld LTD, 790 The Crescent, Colchester, C04 9YQ (the “Promoter”). The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to this event whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.
 

HOW TO BOOK & THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES

Bookings will begin on 13th May 2024 at 09:00hrs when our Cherry Picking reveal Date social media post goes up. People who have previously registered their interest using our online form will have been given first refusal a week before the social media reveal date has been posted. Tickets are limited and subject to availability. The URL will also be available via our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages from 15th May 2024.

• Once completed the booking form you will receive an automated email to confirm we have received your form and give you the following details:

  • Bank account details to make payments to

  • A unique reference number which will be your ticket number and needed as a reference upon payment so we can match payments up.

  • An email to confirm that you have made payment, along with the time slot booked and quantity of tickets bought so that we can return to confirm payment has been received. 

• We will confirm payment receipt within 48 hrs, except weekends and during the week commencing 20th May due to annual leave. We will then contact you nearer the time with all the details and your tickets.

• If you have purchased a ticket and no longer can attend, as long as you give 48 hrs' notice we will give you a refund.

• The closing date for bookings will be 10th July 2024 or if we have exhausted tickets, whichever comes first. Ticket requests received after the closing date will be considered dependent on space/availability/time and resources.

• Simply go on to our Instagram, Facebook or Twitter pages (using the above links), they will have the link to take you to our website so you can book your tickets. You must complete all mandatory fields. To submit your entry, click the “Submit” button.

• No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for lost, delayed or damaged data which occurs during any communication or transmission of entries.

 

CHERRY PICKING DAY
The day consists of 4 two hourly slots to choose from starting from 9am. Each two hourly slots will have up to 50 spaces. There is only one date planned for the Cherry Picking Day due to the Cherry Harvest being a short and busy time of year, with only up to a 4 week window.

• Choose either 9-11am, 11-1, 1-3 and 3-5 time slots, you can arrive any time within your time slot, allowing us to control footfall and spread the event throughout the day as opposed to having a peak time. Light refreshments are available at the Suffolk Gin Distillery. The address will be given to you at the time you receive your ticket but will be located on the Essex/ Suffolk Border around the CO10 postcode. Upon arrival, you can park your car in the allocated area. Please bring your ticket with you on the day, and hand it over to the registration desk. You will then be escorted to orchards. On route, you will walk through a young Cherry orchard which will not produce a yield until 2025. There will be information boards, stating some interesting facts and offering information on all things Cherry. Upon arrival at the orchard, you will see several tables, which will be offering services and produce to purchase over and above Cherries, we will also have some fun and games stalls for children along with fruit tasting and education stalls giving you the low down on the circle of life for Cherries, how the farm is sustainable and interesting beneficial bugs and a bee hive to watch the queen educate all of her colony. You will then have 3 punnets to choose from which are priced accordingly so that you can take them into the orchard and pick your very own fruit. Once you are finished you can take your produce to the checkout to pay for your pickings. You can then have a tractor ride back to your car where you can continue your experience at the Gin Factory and purchase some refreshments. There is no time limit you spend with us once you have arrived within your allocated time slot.

• The participants take part in this experience at their own risk and to the fullest extent possible in law the Promoter accepts no liability concerning the event whatsoever. The Promoter will have no liability concerning the conduct of the event or their guest(s) nor in connection with any circumstances outside its control concerning the Event. The event is subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions of all third parties involved in the fulfilment of the Event.

• The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or cancel the Event at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its reasonable control.

• The participants must inform the Promoter of any wheelchair or any similar access needs.

PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

 

• If you agree to subscribe to the OrchardWorld newsletter on the Website, you opt-in to receive communications from OrchardWorld containing newsletters or other marketing communications (“Opt-in Communications”). You can change your mind at any time by ticking the unsubscribe box on any Opt-in Communication you receive from OrchardWorld.

• Except as set out above, the Promoter will use any personal data submitted by the participant solely to operate this Tour and for no other purpose. To that extent, the Promoter may share such personal data with third parties involved with this Tour. The Promoter will delete any personal data submitted by the participant after the end of the Tour, save where the Promoter is permitted to retain it to comply with applicable law. A participant may exercise any of their rights under data protection law, such as requesting access to or the correction or deletion of his/her data, by contacting the Promoter.

 

JURISDICTION/APPLICABLE LAW

• This Tour will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. By participating the participants agree that all disputes regarding this Tour will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
